We like to present a short series about  the verb ‘gaan’ (to go) and compound verbs with ‘gaan’ in it.  Each combination with ‘gaan’ has its own specific meaning, so prepare for a bumpy ride.

Hij gaat er altijd vanuit

He always takes it for granted / he always expects it to happen,  assumes.


Example:
Hij gaat er altijd vanuit dat hij naar binnen kan gaan.
He always assumes he can go inside.
