On February 14th it is Valentine’s day. In The Netherlands this is not such a huge holiday. But some people send an anonymous postcard to their (boy-)friend or (girl-)friend.

You can also download the files to your computer and send one of them to your Dutch sweetheart by email! It would be a nice surprise, wouldn’t it? These are only 13 – 18 kB in size each.
We don’t have a Dutch expression for ‘happy Valentine’. Only recently we started sending each other cards on February 14th. We copied this habit from the English speaking world, so we just use the English expression for it: Happy Valentine.
